Cheryl began her career in 1979 at Linsday Smithers FCB International after completing a Diploma in Fine Art/Graphic Printmaking at the Johannesburg Technical College. She was promoted to senior art director and worked on several large FMCG clients. In 1989 she formed Touch Designs offering strategy, concept, design, art direction and production for both above and below the line advertising campaigns.
In 1996 Touch Designs merged with Adlines and a subsequent buyout by international McCann Erikson placed Cheryl as managing director of Adlines for a period of 3 years.
Cheryl launched Zenzes in 1998 with the intention of providing a unique way to analyse brand attributes and corporate identities, incorporating the use of ancient disciplines to interested clients, while offering the full range of communication & marketing services via a virtual office platform and range of specialist service providers.
In 2000 the A-Z Philosophy was formed with partner Amanda Grobler. Desiring to develop the understanding and impact of local and international consumer mindsets and how this affects retail and shopping patterns, the company eventually evolved into a sustainable concept, maximizing ‘green’ efforts for goodwill returns.

Previously from the Cosmetic industry (technical marketing of Cosmetic & Pharmaceutical raw materials) Stephen joined his sister Cheryl at Zenzes in 2009.
Steve was brought on board to address the growing demand for marketing exposure to the online environment via the design and construction of tailor-made websites, on-site search engine optimisation (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) using Google AdWords campaigns.
Steve is a qualified Cosmetic Chemist but has maintained a keen interest in all things "computer" for all of his adult life.
Amanda has more than 18 years experience in marketing and communication (specialising in shopping centres and retailers). Industry related Qualifications include a Certificate in Centre Management (SAPOA/University of Pretoria) and the Advanced Shopping Centre Leadership Certificate with SAPOA and the University of Pretoria.
Amanda has been the Marketing Consultant to Cresta Shopping Centre, Regional Shopping Centre situated in Randburg, Gauteng SA since October 1996. Centre achievements include 2003 South African Council of Shopping Centres Marketing the Grand Prix and a Gold Awards, 2004 Best of Johannesburg Shopping Centre as voted by the publication Leisure Options and 2006 One of the best Shopping Centres in Gauteng, The Star newspaper Readers awards.
As a consultant she has also served a number of centres within the Shoprite Checkers Properties’ Group, Broll Property Group’s retail division in Gauteng and a number of other Property Management Companies.
Account Executive - Francois has for the past 7 and ½ years been involved in this dynamic and ever changing industry. His involvement in this dynamic industry has brought about extensive hands on experience in Eventing, Marketing, PR and logistics. Francois has been involved with various Shopping Centre launches and on going marketing that include the Brightwater Commons, ade Route Mall, Woodmead Retail Park and Blu Bird Shopping Centre.
Francois has a B.Comm Communications degree from University of Johannesburg received in 2006 majoring in Business Management, Industrial Psychology and Communications. In 2006, Francois also completed the South African Shopping Centre Council Certificate in Shopping Centre Management (CSCM), the course was hosted by the University of Pretoria in conjunction with The South African Council of Shopping Centres.
